its definatley a boerboel. some just look really different than others. also these ones are still young. it is a terrific guard dog and in south africa they use it as a police dog, but it is also (if trained properly) a great dog for the family, and is compatible with even cats and chihuahuas. but still no matter how trained it is if you try to break into a house with a family that owns a boerboel, your pretty much screwed. i hope that helped.

These are used to protect livestock in South Africa. They can even take down a lion if needs be. God I want one!

@04hanky22 Yeah absolutely, when my boerboel was 3 months old he grawled at the people that entered my house, now with 1 year and 4 months either strangers walk in with me or with my family or they don't at all

@377 the were always kept by farmers en in dutch Boer means farmer so its logic:)

they good with children but not other dogs especially male

i bought a boerboel from these people and when my cousin had her baby over for xmas eve we didnt know what my puppy would do around a baby because hes never seen one. Amazingly he calmly approached the baby and gently licked her on the face and everyone was amazed! They are great dogs!
