That was three minutes of my life well spent. Actually, I might make that six minutes.

It's amazing how little known this song was. It demonstrates his technical virtuosity, vocal range and depth and meaning of his lyrics. But like any really well-written song, it will stand the test of time. 36 years since Turnstiles was released. Thanks for posting this DundeeBhoy 2007.

@hocuspocusfocusable I love it that Billy shoved it up his piano teacher's pompous and jealous butt and played Carnegie Hall.

wish this song was played more....love it on songs in the attic, but really, it should be on the essential billy joel too

@Mcataruz Why are you in YouTube?

@DarklordZagarna I so agree...and to have it be cohesive and relevant is an even bigger feat.
My favorite Billy Joel moment, was seeing him Live at Carnegie Hall ('Turnstiles' tour), and him dedicating the show to his Piano Teacher, who said he'd never make Carnegie Hall...

Leave the kid alone good for you 13 year old.
@rockandroll9876 True that, nobody cares. People just need to understand that good music is timeless!
