@dielan44 If you are going to spend that much on speakers I highly recommend you get a pair of budget hifi bookshelf speakers and a second hand amp such as an old rotel, nad, arcam alpha 1-7, cambridge audio (you could probably get a new cheap cambridge audio. For speakers I'd recommend something like wharfedale 9.1/second hand monitor audio bronze/silver series. If you want to get something a little louder get some larger floorstanders/if you just want more bass get a sub.

@iloveaxxo No they really don't, they have a built in eq that adjusts everything to make it sound more natural, and trust me I'm not a Bose fan, I love Cambridge Soundworks stuff and can't wait to get rid of my Bose and use they're 2.1 Extreme system. Anyway, the Bose hit high frequency but they do sound a little weird while doing, I can't explain but the cabinets resonate a little for sure.

@dielan44 they roll off significantly around 13khz, and the drivers they use aern't exactly fostex quality...

answer no...i have the best speakers ever and they were 5 bucks at a thrift store there brand Boston acoustics there wattage i dont know but there power 2 satelites and one subwoffer i think there like 14 watts rms i think
