Dealing with the headshy horse...

Because of the level of experience needed "Hybrid Horsemanship" techniques are specifically aimed at trainers and not for the average or beginner horse person.

DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!
I am a trained, well respected, professional with 20 plus years of experience and even then sometimes I get my butt hurt. My videos are for entertainment purposes only and are not intended for training nor should be replaced for a professional trainer.
Hybrid Horseman, Paul Williamson or Endospink, will not be responsible for any injuries incurred after viewing his videos or web site and trying this at home. ENDO SAYS: RIDE RESPONSIBLY, WHEN YOU ARE ENJOYING YOUR HORSES, USE PROTECTIVE GEAR!

  • Paul,

Another great video & thanks for the bonus video you sent today to those that have bought your other videos.

  • Your Welcome PD..

  • awesome job! how would you deal with a headshaker??

  • Shaking when riding, I'd bring some rubber into play like a bungee to make it that little more harder to shake. In most cases it doesn't take much to get the upper hand. If shaking from the ground, pretty much handle it the same was.

  • gee horsefeathrs is that they sound of sour grapes? its funny how all the professional riders applaud endo and all the beginner whiney people oppose it. if you dont want your colours known then put your freak flag down! well done endo from every hard working, undervalued rider out there. whilst some might view your videos as "abusive" rest assured that anyone doing this for a living applauds you! let the bunny huggers ride their school ponies and heaven forbid the day they get on a real horse!

  • Smb08...Thank goodness a horse expert showed up!! None of us would have had any idea what to do! Of course there's only one way to train horses! There are NO other ways to get the same results. Thanks for clearing that up!

  • lol. his name isnt betty but hes being a girl hes not wanting his forlock touched. i have a horse with ear mites, he lets me mess with his ears better than he did, if i can recommend something, a cross-tie helped me mess with my horses ears, but you know more than me, ive found out that that a cross tie is dangerous with a horse like that, but it comes in handy with reaching

  • That is a beautiful horse!

  • Damn I love all your music! lol and the video's of course

  • Lucky this horse does not strike (stallion move). He's still a teenager and trying to assert himself as boss. the bit gave him something to play with and distract, plus gave you that 'pain' advantage. how does he act without the bit now? Same, as before, I bet. So first you need to address the problem of respect - in the horse herd he would be 'driven' until he accepts leadership. So that's where you start. Driving - round pen - giving hindquarters...

  • Twitching only really works for the first few times when you are trying to "grab hold" of the horse. The problem is that eventually almost all horses will realize that it is, in fact, weaker than themselves and can therefore be manipulated. I think this then causes us to panic, pull down harder on it, and you can imagine how far downwards it spirals from there. This is just my point of view; Paul knows what he's talking about.

  • Loved this vid and thanks for releasing to the world. Loved the new "bonus video" you sent to the TaP buyers too!

  • Really good song you've chosen and nice video!
