Kodokan judo is taken from Aikido and Jiu Jitsu. If you're a stuck up fundamentalist then yes this is not Judo. If you're any kind disciplined student then you know to keep an open mind. This IS judo, that has been changed and adapted to a more practical street defense. Judo does mean "gentle way" and it is a defensive form. If someone attacks you and you defend yourself.....no matter how you do it it's COMBAT. Appreciate it for what it is or just simply don't watch it.

This is pretty bad... Only the last 15-17 seconds show anything with any workable theory, everything before that has zero leverage and is not only easy to get out of but easy to reverse because these techniques will only work on subduing an opponent by pure strength from Tori and lack of any skill (or sheer determination) from Uke.

I TOTALLLY AGREE but judo actually means gentle defense and jiu jitsu originally came from japan anyeway, jui jitsu is just breaking the joints and is gentle art in japanese, but i totally agree overall (sorry bout spelling)

JUDO means GENTLE WAY, so COMBAT JUDO MEANS: COMBAT GENTLE WAY? the meaning is conflict, and in Japan there is no such thing, if its a filipino art why ur using japanese word like Judo and Japanese Gi as an outfit? maybe you guys dont know that the combat style of Judo is Japanese Juijitsu, when converted in to a sport its Judo..
