@jmsweat Thanks for the connection to WPXI! I went over to SouthernMedia's News Music Archive and looked to see if it had a WPXI 1981 clip and sure enough it did. I have a dim memory of WTHI promos that ended with "WTHI Leading the Way" sung in the same notes with which this theme ends. I'll bet it's the same as the promo you describe.

@mobilene This was the WPXI 1981 news theme used from 1988 and 1989. This was my ULTIMATE FAVORITE! I wish they had kept it longer. There was a station slogan song that played in promos...I remember it started out "WTHI and you TV 10, look at us now we're the one" then at the end "TV 10, the Valley's favorite---------, WTHI Leading the Way! I don't recall the lyrics in the middle.

@Thunderchicken1997 I used to work at WBOW (early 1990s) and absolutely kick myself for not snagging those JAM jingles before I left. I don't have anything from WAAC or WTHI, either.
