MAN MEETS COCKROACH. Here is the logline: "A man encounters a dead cockroach in his beverage, almost swallowing it. Later, after much inner turmoil and introspection, the man comes to believe that the Dalai Lama sent him the cockroach to help him overcome his fears and elevate him to a higher level of consciousness and communion with all life. Based on the 'real-life' experience of Jerry DeShazo." As mentioned above, when my friend Jerry DeShazo (the star of the film) first told me this story, I laughed my rear end off ... But he kept assuring me that it really had happened. That's when I started thinking about how I could make the story into a film. And this was the result! It played at the Damah Film Festival in 2003 and was a hit with audiences. Hope you enjoy it, Ron Peer
