Camp Quixote is a tent city that provides safe haven for people experiencing homelessness.

The camp is a member run, democratic community that operates with the aid of a broad-based support committee known as the Panza group.

Camp Quixote was initially created to protest the new sidewalk law passed by the City of Olympia. As the street community watched their access to public space shrink, they gathered to organize and stake their claim to exist - openly and without shame.

Just so you know I have forgotten to take the food to town to be mailed 3 times now. I found a couple more things and am going to open the box up and put them in too, hopefully I will get it next time I go! I hate driving ten minutes and realizing I forgot that box again! sheeshh! lol sigh.

@mykylc No, day I was going to mail it we got snow and lost power I stayed home... I only live about 10 miles out of olympia but kept forgetting to take it and last time I was in town made the best of it by picking up a couple more things I hadn't seen before. Not sure how good this is going to be for gross food but it is the best I could find... and I know a few things I thought would be good...???

I really wish that Lionel Rivera & the Colorado Springs city council could see this video. I wonder if they'd feel any shame…Probably not.

@slyflight Thanks, glad you enjoyed it and the added black space Youtube put in... lol, actually this rotates around 3 cities and 1 of the 3 had a fight over letting them do it even after the other two made special legislation... I guess the odds are 1 in 3 there is something that smells funny...
