4. Yes Demag DR has lots of problems at first, but Demag is evolving the DR day by day, and now it is a product without problem. DH is just an economic solution for market because DR is expensive product.

3. Maintenance for Kone end carriages are very easy but maintenance of wheel blocks are more easy due the standard end carriage. Now Kone also manufactures wheelblock too.

1. Hoisting with cylindrical rotor too, and safe heavy duty electrom. disk brake

2. Available with 2-speed trav.motors, but what about Demag DR having 55° with inverter and Sway Control, as CXT?

3. End carriages have easy removable bearing supports, with front covers to take wheels out.

4. Last but not least, in 2010 and still now Demag started to produce and sell again old DH hoist, as a consequence of the failures in DR hoists - what major sign of failure?

@Foxinofly I would be more careful in saying things liks these. I'm working there in Italy, doing great, hired good skilled people and looking ahead in a good team. What you say is unfair. If you really have problems on your cranes, and look for a solution, why do not ask support? Did you call the Service Toll Free number and asked for it?

@TheJako888 The first year of production have been disastrous for the hoist Demag DR, but today, I think is the best tackle on the market. Konecrane will undoubtedly be a good product, but unfortunately in Italy, there is a structure of post-sales support. Lately they have fired nearly all and closed the only ones they had in Italy.

I prefer always Konecranes. They have many more advantages.

1 - Excellent braking with cyclindrical rotor brake on motors

2 - Dual speed motors traversing and travelling motors can be use without additional coolant on electric panel for 55 Degrees

@Foxinofly I cannot speak for Italy of course, in Holland we get a good service and if there's a problem, it is solved by Konecranes. Maybe you can contact Konecranes Finland and tell them about your problems? I'm sure they would like to have happy customers all around the world :-)
