To examine the dynamics between the local Thais and Burmese migrants, the GOFAR video team travels to Koh Tao, a beautiful Southern Thai island off the Gulf of Thailand. It is considered by many to be the diving paradise of Thailand.
The days in Koh Tao are beautiful and the nights are mysterious.
After a tiring day of filming, the video team retired to our rooms for the night.
Just before I closed my eyes, Shin, our translator, came rushing in. He told me that there is something amazing on the outside wall.
As we were charging our EX1s, I grabbed the Sony camcorder and switched on the nightshot mode. This was what I captured.
The Tokay Gecko, Gekko Gecko, is the largest gecko in Asia (and arguably the largest in the World). Although it is found across the Southeast Asia, increasing urbanisation is making it a rarer sight.
Meanwhile, stay tuned for more updates from the GOFAR 2011 team.
