I've seen this punch work several times against skilled opponents. Bas does something similar before he delivers kicks and punches to the liver; and everyone knows how Bas loves the liver. He sort of waves his right hand to distract the opponent, then "crash" to the liver. Fakes are effective at times.

I know you commented 4 months ago, but Ryan's dead. Bas is my favorite of all time. Ironically, I have studied at a Relson Gracie school for years, and I love all that the Gracie's stand for. I thought Ryan was awesome, too. It's a real sensitive subject for a lot of us.

I like the superman punch, one of my altime favourite fights as a kid finished with a kickboxer landing the superman punch on his opponent, knocked the dude out!

That's simply because they only have to worry about hands. in MMA you can't just stand around like a boxer.
