I'm 99% sure that little boy in the picture is Nigel Kennedy.

Yehudi Menuhin gave his first public performance in San Francisco at the ripe old age of eight!

I prefer Heifetz's because it's more whimsical, but Menuhin still kicks my ass...
-
This is Heifetz's arrangement of a Grigoras Dinicu composition..and Menuhin, while injecting some of his style, played it with all due respect to Heifetz and Dinicu..and Menuhin got all the respect in return..

@rawautube Having a personal preference is perfectly reasonable. I like Heifetz more than Menuhin.

closest to enescu - obvious given that he was menuhin's teacher

Super ....un evreu celebru cantand muzica populara romaneasca......

..Michael Rabin..:-)

Wooooooooonderful!!! :):):) Thank you!

menuhin: closest to his master [?father?] Enescu
still lacks the feeling the composer [Dinicu] ment; Dinicu's performances here on youtube are less valuble, being filmed mainly in restaurants or at events;
heifetz brings it to brahms & chopin, thus losing the idea of this totally different dance
I hate it when I hear the old arguement of who is better;Heifetz,Menuhin,Perlman,Oistrakh...They all have some thing that the others don't have so I really pitty those that only listen to one of them.

I actually like Menuhin's version more than Heifetz's.
