@3lprim0 Haha, Brighton? Lmao xD Nope England is defo not the Caribbean xD It snows here so yep. Nice, I live in South West England and it's too cold to go swimming in hot weather at the beach too. The water is always cold at the beach here :/

@3lprim0 yeah - my friend tried to surf in Shimane and often used a wetsuit, but between July and September, the water is warm enough to go in with just a bathing suit.

No, I took the other new JETs shopping, since I have a car and know my way around the town and they were all brand new to Izumo at the time.

hey there i have just applied for the JET 2010 programme. I recently found out that there is quite a lot of snakes in Japan which I was shocked. In my application I said I wouldn't mind living in rural Japan but I don't know whether I could cope with snakes. do they come in the house?

We don't have snakes where I come from!

Yeah - there are snakes - they like to hang out in the rice fields and the farmers have to be careful. I never saw a snake near my rural apartment complex, but I did get the occasional, harmless lizard in my house.
