yes, for example people order ladybugs for gardens (they eat/deter other pests) and butterflies for either gardens or weddings (to release all together), i've heard of mail ordering tropical fish, and larvae are mailed for kits like we did in the video. you'll probably see those packages most frequently in the spring when temps are moderate, they don't tend to ship during extreme cold or heat.

man, yours really jumped around. Mine didnt move too much after they when into the cacoon. Thsi is so awesome isn't. Thats an interesting way of doing the bottom. I didnt think about that. I am going to do that next time. Are you going to do it again. I am! FOr sure!!!

That was an excellent video!
We have a kit too, our son is very excited about our project. Four out of five have hatched, we'll be releasing them after the weekend. :-)
You did a great job documenting your project!

Nice! I work at Insect Lore too. Guess who?
we also got a kit. Ours are in cocoons now. I'm not sure where to find the plants for them when they hatch. I heard that if you put an orange slice with sugar water they will eat that. You did a wonderful job documeting your project!

we put sugar water on flowers, the directions had the recommended sugar-water proportion. i'm sure your idea is equally good. thank you for watching our video :)
