this is my brave son Nicky-Lee walking for the first time with a frame. He suffered a spinal AVM in JAn 08 and drs didnt know if he would ever walk again. he has astounded everyone with his recovery and we are all so proud of him x

It has bn 4 yrs almost since nicky got took ill n he's made a great recovery. He is training to b a carer for elderly.

I really hope you make as good a recovery as nicky. He still walks with a limp but otherwise you wouldn't know he had once been confined to a wheelchair. Much love to you x

really happy to say that nicky now walks with the aid of just a single crutch. he has amazed everyone with his progress. i am so very proud of him. love u nicky

I had a spinal AVM; I lost sensation and muscle power below my waist. It was on Sep 2010 now I can walk without support and regaining sense slowly. Don’t lose your hope and be careful not to fall down at this stage. All the best.

I shattered three of my neck bones and two back ones in January and they told me I'd never walk, but I am abit now.
