automatic tranny? i very clearly heard a powershift while he was going up the hill.
powershift=keeping the gas floored while pressing in the clutch and shifting. which is why you heard the tire chirp.

@Subarujoe there were 424 made to be acurate :) - 399 in japan, 16 in britain, 5 in australia, Then 2 for the drivers of the subaru rally team, 1 for Subaru Japan as press car which those 3 had the plaque no.000 and a guy from pro drive uk had 1 that had the plaque no.400
