This beautifully restored Gavioli 'De Grote Gavioli' owned by Nigel Myers is seen here playing at the 2010 Great Dorset Steam Fair - also shown is a panorama pan-round of the Showmen's Engines and Fair Ground, while the organ plays.
The instrument is actually partly Carl Frei's workmanship, as he added extra pipework in the 1930s, giving it a unique sound, and it was carefully restored most recently during the late 1990s.
Tunes played (thanks Peter) are:
0:09 Drifting and Dreaming. Arr. Carl Frei.
1:49 My Blue Heaven. Arr. Carl Frei.
what a wonderful sight!!!!! thats probably one of the things I miss now going to steam ralliies. I live in Spain, I was with Arthur when he bought this in Holland about 1963. We used to take the car, he did not like driving on the wrong side of the road, they used to load the car in a net in those days at Harwich. RIP ARTHUR
