Wow did Alexander have great shiftiness in the open field, and when you gave him a seam, pure speed.
BTW @ 1:31- is that Kirk Herbstreit on the kickoff coverage team?

Derrick Alexander was the king of the deep pass touchdown, most of these routes are him just running go routes. Absolutely great player.

It's a both a shame and a blessing that Derrick got hurt in 1991. It would have been fantastic to see him on the field with Desmond that year, but very well could have hurt Howard's Heisman chances.
