  • The storm system they called The Bomb hit the north shore of Lake Superior late night October 26, leaving late October 27.

    The storm brought high winds with gusts exceeding 100 kph and waves in excess of 20 feet. This is a small part of video showing some of the waves that were 6 to 8 meters in height. Made for some awesome viewing.

  • Wow, I don't recall the end of this past October being like this. I was probably in town (SSM) and it wasn't as bad. Right now I'm waiting for the lake to freeze up some more so I can do a video of the ice. A lot of people don't realize that it's not the same little ice cube every year. Every year is something different.
