the new focus rs at 300bhp only hits 62 in around 6.5 seconds so please try and stop making out that fords are fast especially lumpy mondeo's, no production ford standard spec could beat a bmw 335 or a 535 diesel , the torque that modern diesels are producing these days in unbelievable and my little fabia is no exception , go and but 1 get it re-mapped and yopu will never look at another petrol guzzler again,

@grantthorley ....there is a 1.6 available for the mk4 as a 120 hp ti-vct engine... so thats not right. ..there are also enough remapped 2.5t's wich have over 270bhp.. So i would like to see that.

@flyerholland you cant get 1.6 mondeo's only in the mark1 pal, i can blast my mates st220 with blue chipped ecu to 244bhp from the lights allday long up into 4th gear then the v6 pulls away , no top end in fabia vrs at all 125 max but with the esp turned off it launches like a mother fucker ,
