I am continuing to work on the collage lampshade. I applied a fixing finish and used a blow dryer to speed up the curing process. When finally dry it should be fairly "tight." I like the organic layers and textures in this process especially when the lamp in on. The I show a project that started 6 years ago and I was determined to finish it using the collage effect on the sides of the frame. I used the watered down Elmer's glue and colored tissue paper to create a "frame" and when dry applied layers of white candle wax to the entire piece. After each layer I buff it with a paper towel and repeat the process until I get a organic feeling of depth and the "colors" start to have depth and a kind of warmth. I am especially attracted to green themes, trees and growing things. I am somewhat of a Greenman/Wildman. LOL. If you have any questions about how I do this please feel free to write me here or @ wbworkout@gmail.com
