I needed to make long tennons that were 3/4 inch deep by 1/4 inch wide. I make old world style doors with dowelled tennon and dado joinery for a client.

So...

I bought a 6 inch stacked dado kit and mounted the blades inside out, thus creating a 1/4 inch space between blades. It worked like a charm. It didn't try to such the pieces in, but that may be because I had a great grip on them, and they were almost 19 inches long.
