The contract makes it practically legal for the CO$ to verbally, mentally and physically abuse the recruit. This has resulted in at least one documented death.
If a member attemts to leave the CO$ they are stalked, harrassed and publicly slandered. Thier lives are often threatened.
If the CO$ sees a member as a SP, (Suppressive Person), they legally have the right to imprison that person indefinitely in a CO$ concentration camp for "ReEducation".

The "Church" of $cientology is dangerous.
They isolate people from family & friends for the sole purpose of exploiting them. They prey on people who are lost in life, depressed, mentally weakend and vulnerable. The force new members to sign contracts that endebt them to the CO$ for a billion, yes that's right, a BILLION years so supposedly this "contract" legally caries over into the person's next life.

The main reason the "Chanology" effort failed was that they were outmaneuvered by a smarter, adaptible & resilient opponent.
Also they behaved very badly in a way that turned the general public off and made the Church interesting and much more dignified of character in comparison.
Their negativity was very obvious. As people who were in it at the start woke up morale bottomed down & numbers dwindled.
Not all bad. It was something social for kids who weren't achieving in life otherwise.

1) We didn't fail, people are still getting out because of Anonymous and we're still getting the word out to people who were never inside, cutting down massively on their new recruits.
2) Scientology is neither "smart" nor "adaptable," unless you think hiding inside and videotaping protests is a huge tactical shift from standing outside and videotaping protests.
3) I've never seen Anonymous attack someone with a hammer. How are they more dignified again?
