Canterbury College - Apprentice Week

National Apprenticeship Week, organised by the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS), takes place from Monday 1st to Friday 5th February and will celebrate the talents and skills of apprentices across England.

Canterbury College is encouraging any interested in becoming an Apprentice, and local employers to attend the College this week, following the new Apprenticeship grant which has become available; offering employers an easy way to take on young apprentices.

Over the next ten weeks the National Apprenticeship Service will provide up to 5000 grants of £2,500 to enable employers to take on an unemployed 16 or 17 year old apprentice immediately. This grant is in addition to the costs of training which are already covered by NAS.
