  • well done - don't you think it's kind of incredible that a program designed for Live use such poor scene and clip visibility? I am amazed by this.

  • @jimmynitcher Yes you're right. And Ableton has a lot of other skins to chose from which are build in, but none of them gives good scene and clip visibility. I hope in Live 9 they will solve this problem. Thanks.

  • Thanks very much for the skin - I've been browsing skins for live performance and this is the best one I've found.

You should take a look at bitwig studio - some ableton developers left and are making their own program that looks like what live 9.0 should be. I'm hoping they deliver on all the promises.

  • @frankxo No, I don't think that's it at all- it's called "Live" - a major part of it is it's use in live situations (as this video explains) - the expense of adding highlighting to clips and scenes is virtually nothing - if you buy an APC40 a large red box appears around the button zone, in my view this should happen for clips and scenes (different colour?).

  • @jimmynitcher My point of view is that live is focused on the way it sounds not in the way it looks it sounds great and engineers don`t want to use the resources of ram and cpu in visual aspects, cost-benefit. I just think that's why, =)
