@JJJadm That was Sharon who pulled out the settlements. Netanyahu wasn't pleased. I think it was the right thing to do. Gaza should have been totally destroyed by now though. Too bad Sharon went into a coma.

Its very easy to end the fighting. Firstly, Palestine needs to recognize the right of Israel to exist. Second, stop killing innocent civilians with rockets. Third negotiate peace. That's it. Plain and simple. However for most Palestinians do not accept the right of Israel to exist, and thus there will be no peace. It is in the hands of the Palestinians ...you can have peace, or you can continue being retaliated against for your crimes. The answer is obvious ....

The actions in Gaza are truly terrible and no one deserves to suffer like this. However what choice to the Israelis have? They give up Gaza and 14,000 rockets are launched at them. Imagine if that happened anywhere else in the world. If there was a Palestinian police force, or EU intervention, this conflict would be over already and there would be 2 peaceful states in the middle east living side by side.
