This is an odd problem that I found on a Haughton hydraulic elevator modernized by Schindler.

  • im not supprised there are always Epic Fails on schindler really sucks

  • schindlers problem

  • It's weird because everythings planned and who would think that stopping the door motor would be one of the features hard wired in the system? Great video.

  • Elevator needs re-installed properly, then will make sure if elevator working as normal. What purpose do know engineering service report to safety checks, before riding elevator as normally. How strange this elevator has stoppped working properly!!!

  • There must be some problem with the "door close timing" such as bad-wired contacts or something like this, or with door acceleration.

  • @Konekss370 i forgot lol removed it by accident.

  • @g4tech what did your comment say

  • Something went wrong with the door operator.

  • I saw on the Secret Life of Machines episode about the elevator (see mrmattandmrchay's channel) where a KONE elevator from the 1980's did that when the sensors were activated. However, by touching the door (it had touch sensors as well), the door would open some more. I guess the elevators in Europe don't have to have doors that reopen all the way like in the USA.
