note: this is intended as a last resort, when the eject button doesn't work and holding mouse button at startup doesn't eject (i.e. cd with thick label or broken optical drive). brought to you by: brian cometa's mac repair and data recovery http://www.briancometa.com

  • thats funny i used the same exact pharmacy card

  • Or you can turn it on its side and let gravity help. Turn it on its side, press eject a few times. I have a Dell XPS and it took 2 presses of the eject button with the computer on its side (cd rom vertical) but it finally worked.

  • Thank you! You saved me at least £50. This trick works on Dell Studio 1555 laptops. The disc got scratched up but the drive is back to full working order. Very helpful video :)

  • YOU SAVED MY LIFE <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

  • @Folcation No, but they do have the CMD key, which is what fregrence5 was referring to. You assumed fregrence5 meant the CMD prompt, when he or she was referring to the CMD key.

  • @moosefuel apple does not have the program command promt on it.

  • @Folcation Yes they do, it's the apple key with the swirly symbol.

  • Amazing!! It worked 1st time no problem on my Toshiba laptop slot loading optical drive which had 2DVDs stuck in it! The repair shop wanted to charge me over $300 to send it out to be LOOKED at!! Great post you have here! THANKS!!
