  • This is a very good explanation of the Burpee. Most videos show either a squat thrust or a squat thrust with a pushup.

  • @motifman22 Really?? Yes really. Chucks have flat, hard soles that don't compress when you start adding weight. I like my running shoes for running, but back when I was putting a hundred pounds over my head, with nothing but my own body controlling the weight, I don't want the soles of my shoes compressing and shifting my balance as I get that weight over me.

  • Hmm, I like everything about his burpee except one. I when I kick back to a pushup position, I keep myself UP, so I actually DO a pushup. His basically lets gravity do all the work of going completely down. His might be the 'proper' way of doing a burpee, but try to actually do a proper pushup. It'll be alot harder.

  • Are you trying to kill? I can barely walk & chew gum at the same time & you want me to do that? Ha! yeah not in this life time

  • My coach makes us run in place, squatting, as fast as we can, then we do this, and go back to running

    Basketball too, nothing better than doing these on a hard dirty floor

  • My heart thumps after doing these. Tough exercise for big guys
