Christiania trike - Quickshaw taxi - turning capability

Back in 2002-2003 i worked in a company called Quickshaw and we had a lot of fun driving pedicab around the city (and corners) with friendly people from all over the world! The quickshaw company is history now but the bikes (build by christianiabikes.com) are still in use.. some owned by individuals and some by the Copenhagen rickshaw company.
Anyway.. summer, nice people, exercise while makeing money. What a job :-) And thanks to Lars for building the best bike ever!

Er du da vild mand, det turde jeg ikke! Jeg har selv én, den med det lave lad, og jeg må desværre sige, at jeg har mærket hvad der sker, hvis man ikke lige får drejet ordenligt inden man render over en kantsten. Men det er gode cykler, jeg har fragtet gulv, store og små indkøb, samt et te-bord. For lige at nævne nogle småting...

Passerede for nyligt en smart og hurtig dame på sin christiania-hest som have skater-cykel-hjelm på hovedet... Mumlede lidt for mig selv om 3 hjul og hjelm.. Tsk-tsk.. 10 Sekunder senere lød der et BRAG bag mig. Så jo, Køres den lidt frisk uden at kende til balancepunkterne kan den hurtigt tage r*ven på dig!

Selvom Christianiabikes anbefaler det modsatte vil jeg mene at det er en fordel at kende til hvordan cyklen opfører sig med kun to hjul på vejen - har reddet mig fra uheld mere end en enkelt gang! Når svinget børsgade/børsbroen kan tages på to hjul så folk bag dig skriger... Så er den ved at være hjemme... Sikker!? :-)

@mr3moses - Ups and downs Moses but i keep the wheel spinning and im moving in the right direction! Just did some nice rides with my girlfrind this afternoon (hmmm - on the bike...) and we are planning a "tour de DK" on three wheels this summer... Drop me a note if you pass by DK and i´ll pick you up in the airport. 15

Ahh well - anyway - it will have to wait cause right now there is snow all over Copenhagen and its hard to even get the bike through the streets.... More videos will come in near future btw

@muttix Det er rigtigt. Men det du siger med hjelm og 3 hjul er noget fis. Bruger selv hjelm, for en dum eller uopmærksom trafikant (modpart) skelner ikke mellem om man bruger hjelm eller ej.
