The VerTiPlex 200, or VTP200 as it's more commonly known, is a proposed 200 metre leisure and observation tower that has been designed by architects RTKL-UK to be built by ROC International in Birmingham, England. It will be located adjacent to Millennium Point and is part of the regeneration of the Eastside area of Birmingham. At an estimated cost of £95 million, it will feature external glass lifts which will be able to transport people from a 'shimmering gold base'. There will also be a hotel, café bars and restaurants. It will also feature a series of observation decks that will offer panoramic views of the city and surrounding region up to a distance of more than 33 miles. If the proposed building is submitted and approved by Birmingham City Council then it is scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2010.

  • Super delux version of the Futurama suicide booth.

  • Is it just me or does it sound like people will die on that tower? No railings, bungee jumps, that car thing... How did Health and Safety pass it when they discourage hanging baskets invade you get knocked out by one?

  • I hope it gets cancelled. I'd love to see new skyscapers built and large sections of Birmingham demolished, but honestly if they just built a nice big park it'd be better for the city than this white elephant, it's looks like such 1970s concept of futurism.. and that doesn't bode well for a city that already made the wrong move in trying to be a sort of 'motor city of the future' like Detroit.

  • The most pointless vanity project ever...

  • no handrail, bullshit

  • Hmmm, creepy narrator.

  • this is never going to happen, britain doesnt have the money to waste.

  • It looks really cool but I hope they drop the name, it just sounds like a horrible 80's computer.

Hes not racist, Muslims are not a race, they are a religion, if you can even call it that. But the point is, people get this wrong like you have. Muslims can be black, White, yellow or brown. Now if he had said do that to say black people, then he's racist. But he didn't did he. He insulted a religion, not a race. Hence he's not racist. I suggest you Learn the meaning of words before you go around insulting people over the internet dumb arse.

    Hahaha, nice one mate :D

If that's the case, build them all over Great Britain and get rid of all the fuckers. All they do is turn our cities into slums, have rallys about how they will take over the world, and sit about on their arses all day raking in the benifits. Thow them all in the Channel, they don't deserve to live in this great country.
