You need to be elevated by crane or something so that you are level with the screen. I think the fun is lost when you have to play at that angle, and that you have no sound.
It's probably better just to sit in the stands, facing directly at the screen, but then the screen won't look as big from the distance. Of course then you would end up better off playing on your flat screen at home.
