I don't play trumpet anymore, but this brings back the old days in England in the 50's when I played with the Crescent City Stompers. I am trying to keep the spirit of New Orleans alive by starting to post audios on Utube. Watch out for some of George Lewis next.
As someone mentioned, some good drumming here to capture that authentic sound. The other guys are great too!!

When I was a teen I attended an Assembly og God church and was a member of the yout group (Christ's Ambassadors). Sometime before then someone had adapted Wash & Lee Swing to "Christ's Ambassadors". i learned to play this song on a fiddle and now play acoustic bass.
I really love this tune and your version.

What a very fine New Orleans type band. Thanks for letting us hear and see it.

Just realized that you are the drummer. You must have dug Sammy Penn and Cie Frazier-my 2 favorite drummers!
Just saw Nick Polites at the end--This is Brian Finigan, trumpet. Have not seen you in 30+ years. Hope you are well!

Nick Polites was in Switzerland several times during the 90-ties. Ferdinand Wuhrmann and I played with him at the Casa-Bar in Zürich. What a nice gentleman! If you like to contact him, try it in the Google under: Louisiana Shakers!
