Dutch house cat adopts rejected red panda

A Dutch tabby cat nurses an orphaned red panda cub in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Wednesday July 9, 2008. The panda's mother, Gladys, rejected her two cubs after they were born on June 30. The zoo-keepers initially put the cubs in an incubator, but one keeper's tabby cat had just given birth to four kittens, and the housecat was willing to nurse the newcomers. Unfortunately the little one died. It was found dead one morning; it turned out its trachea was filled with milk, it must have choked in it. Otherwise the condition was very good though.

Actually, cat milk has the exact nutrients that Red Pandas need. People all over the world feed Red Pandas cat milk because it's so effective.

What exactly would it be missing? Of course it would be enough. If it was not enough in quantity, there are always supplements etc...

I sincerely doubt that cat milk would be enough/of the right nutrients to keep a red panda alive :( good effort though on all parts :) poor darlings.
