The W&M Heritage Dancers practice Kneeland Romp and a medley of Fisher's Hornpipe, (a version of ) Petronella, and Geud Man of Ballangigh in preparation for a performance at W&M's International Music and Dance Showcase in November 2009. The music is Kneeland Romp (from the MGM cd "New Friends") and a medley of The Lancers/Petronella/Jerry the Rigger (from Scottish Fiddle Rallys cd "Masters of Scottish & Cape Breton Fiddling.") Yes, we realize thats not the right music for Fisher's Hornpipe and Geud Man of Ballangigh.
The W&M Heritage Dancers is a student-run English Country Dance club at the College of William & Mary. New members are always welcome; if youre a W&M student, come join us!
The girl on the right, in green is very graceful, has a real sense of the dance - isnt just walking, she dancing!

I suddenly find myself wishing I lived in Virginia instead of PA. Ugh, there's nothing like this around where I live. Any of us who like to do these awesome dances have to wait all year for one weekend when we get to do it. SCA and Rev War people for the win!
