This neat little camera is able to shoot in high definition in 720p and 1080p. It also has the ability to take still pictures at 5 megapixels. This camcorder is becoming known as one of the best pocket cams on the market, even better than the Flip Mino HD and the Creative Vado HD.

I have found that turning off image stabilization and facial recognition helps with some of that wobbly look when handheld.

did you know that 1080P on zi8 got bug? it is zoomed kinda cropped... when you film at 1080P objects looks closer on lcd... a simple test put on camera on the tripod or hold still don't film just look at the viewfinder look at the edges then switch to the next format 720p 60fps look again then back to 1080p look and back to 720p you'll notice that 1080p eats your image from sides bottom and the top.
