This view should be included in F1. It doesn't have to add much weight. You can do this with fiber optic cameras run into the helmet through the Hans device. Those are commonly used in the medical field and can be HD. It would just take a little engineering but they should definitely do it because it is an amazing view and would look absolutely fantastic on TV.

Yes but the angle is more off to the side. I don't know if it's actually in the helmet like it is here but it's definitely pointing off to one side more. When they are looking straight ahead you can't see both tires like you can here. For that reason I don't like the new cam as much. I wish they would change it to be more like this one.

Hook up before race starts, Unhook after race ends. How hard could it be? I'm sure the mechanicals of it aren't what's holding it back. Some genius engineer can always figure a way around things like that if they really want to do it.
