  • This is a truly great historical documentary should be avalible on DVD, This should be shown to kids at school a great insight into how the Medieval thought process worked . Both Bartlett and the production team should be very proud of this series.

  • Btw everybody... Great documentary series... Hosted by Terry Jones of Monty Python (so it has a silly streak), but still informative and I learned some new things. ~ "Ancient Inventions"

  • Here's the thing... These people were no less intelligent than we are today...only misinformed and socially pressed to believe such things. Dig around a little, and you can find equally nutty beliefs on any day... lurking everywhere in our supposedly advanced culture. If we don't know the answer to something, we STILL tend to just make something up and then swear by it's truth.

  • @Danorowski I was saying that based on playful gesture if somehow it was offended you in anyway i have to apologize. we all do weird things i personally dont think that culture is something we should be ashamed of. it just things we've done in the past. yes some asians do eat dogs and some raise dogs. i do believe that europeans do that too.

  • @ekanipata We walk them on leashes, not on forks and knives.

  • I agree great documentary, touching the books with his bare hands is making me want to shout at the screen, "STOP DOING THAT!!"

  • Thanks, you've just broaden my view. Btw, I'm from the far east, I heard you guys walk with dog heads, is it true?.

  • @80jasey Its better that way, so much so that it is policy at the British Library. It allows you to get a better feeling for how to treat the page without damaging it.
