  • I never had trouble to understand the finale. Kara was killed in the Mandala storm and brought back by "God" or whatever you guys wanna call it so she could guide mankind to Earth. Some cylons (mostly Leoben) call her an "angel".

I'm not religious, but this show is about the human race and some superior being saving them from extinction by giving them Earth's coordinates (in the form of a song), and resurrecting Kara. So yeah, you gotta admit that miracles are real in BSG.

  • yes, kara won't be forgoted, the best coffee will be named after her :P starbucks

  • so god did it?

  • @pghcraig you clearly didnt have the subtitles on likle i just did. i faced the entire series in a month. its Leoben =] not lee Yomen.

  • @AGTLI x)

  • @AyumiLunaticKid Was thinking the same thing when this ep. 1st aired. lol

  • Cavil for instance reminds me a bit of Lilith, the women said to be the first woman god created, but she was made wrong and eventually destroyed and replaced. Cavil was a mistake, David (the eve character, or was it adam? can't remember the boxe cylons name) was flawed to, but differently flawed. Look at the cylon models that turned on one another... ala Isaac and Abraham... it's science fiction though, and i thought this ending was the most kick ass thing EVER.

  • Everything was parody. I think Starbuck was the Jesus figure in the parody of Christianity. Jesus died, rose from the dead... and our religion says he'll return to deliver those who believe "home." Starbuck died in that storm, and was sent back with a purpose that she didn't even know. Jesus did not know he was the Messiah either. There are lots of parallels.

  • I think when you watched this show as it aired over years of time, you might miss things that validate the ending. I marathoned the show's first 4 seasons, and only saw 4.5 as it aired. There were references to Starbuck being an angel starting in season 2. When Kara is held captive by Lee Yomen on New Caprica, he makes references this this then.

  • so elegant

  • That caught me off guard in a hilarious way. Well done!

EVERY time I play GTA IV from now on I'm gonna say "Goodbye *player*, you won't be forgotten." :D

  • RIP Starbucks ;( (crying like child )
