When I was there the dorm was nasty, bay showers, and no AC. Not to mention they drive on the wrong side of the road. :-) I did have the opportunity to fall on the back of a sea turtle while drunk. Me not the turtle. They did have pretty good food.

iVE BEEN HERE 4 TIMES.Its just a rock wit a few bars.Naffi bar is quite good its right next to the swimming pool.so wen da bar closes its naked pool/lol the memories

i found one of my relatives has been there, completely by chance because my mum overheard me say "ascension" (however i was talking about a game) and she told me about what her uncle had told her

@diiggas I'd love to visit Ascension Is, Henderson Island and the Chagos. All of these places are British OTs, but even as a British citizen I'm not allowed to visit them. They are either banned to our own civilian citizens because a foreign power wants to use them to blow stuff up, or in the case of Henderson is protected environment (understandable) taken to 11 (not really necessary).

I still hope to go to St. Helena, Ascension Island and Tristan da Cunha in this lifetime. I've been fascinated by that place since I was a kid even though I dont know anyone from there or who ever was there.

I love the island - so magic yet so remote. I was a helicopter pilot there in the '80s.
