I hate to say this but that was kind of shitty. Sh-Boom by The Chords is one of my favorite songs. And I mean very very favorites. I realize they were doing it acapella but it didn't sound good to me.

It was cross over music...in the late 50's record companies would have white groups record the black songs so that white kids could listen to it. It had nothing to do with us listening to black music because we didn't care but the record companies were under pressure from some parents who were afraid that the black music would somehow harm their kids. Luckily not all parents felt that way and by the sixties this way a thing of the past. Now if we could just get rid of "rap" crap music.
