I was at the local goldsmith store today and watched a 50g like the one in the video. There was a number on the bar and the goldsmith explained to me that one can trace who owned the bar. I really doubt it. Is it so that the numnber is simply number in line of production?
There were no paper certificate that could confirm the purity of the bar.
How does these numbers work in reality?

I believe the number goes with the certificate. It is not registered as far as I know once the bar is freely traded. I bought gold at an official gold dealership and they did not put the serial number on the bill. I don't think its important. If you wonder about whether the gold is genuine there are other tests for that. The best strategy is to buy recognized bullion (the well known are more expensive).

Well, first you send the approcimate price about 1500 USD. When we have that in Euros the day price is settled (we call and we ask you to agree). Then the gold is shipped to you. You pay shipping cost and a fee for the transaction. The day price is a bit more than the spot price (spot + spread+ manufacturing cost). We can also get silver platinum and palladium..
