Recorded in New Liskeard Ontario, Shannen and Serena Koostachin speak about the pain of being exiled from their family, community, and culture in search of an education and a future.
It's really aggravating to see people like these two women with such great potential and all they get is frustration and disappointment, loneliness and fear. It's crime against humanity what happens to these communities. That fuc*ing Indian Act should be struck down in the World Court, and the people it imprisons and kills, they should beset free.
I'd be tripping over my words too if I came from a toxic wasteland.
