Started out as a joke..talkin to a buddy at work about making a guitar from scratch. so here it is. slab of 3/4 inch plywood..1/8" hardwood fretboard, made the frets..cut the grooves for them by hand of course..pickups from the poor Les Paul copy. bridge and tuning pegs from the same. so many people make a guitar and graft on a neck with frets and all that done..mine is all from scratch. plastic piece to keep strings seperate just after tuning pegs...handmade. 1st attempt at this. Thinkin of makin a 1.5 " thick MDF bodied electric guitar. comments? BTW it was harder than it looks. natives call me..guy ..who had..many beers for many nights.
Nice job on that plywood guitar, looks awesome never would have thought it were possible. I like what motivated you to build it, I should tell you that there is no way you can build a Gene Simmons axe, that way I can see one of my favorite guitars built from scratch lol.
