life is enriched by such magnificent beauty and sensitivity, it is sad that nothing of recent has ever come close to this genius of series. And i doubt anything ever will. This is something that is lost forever, a romantic view of view--away from the humdrum of what we know reality to be; away from what we know of friendship and good living. Alas, we live a lesser existence, in a vacuum that such nostalgia might momentarily plus.

Earlier Sebastian said that he wasn't bringing Aloysius to Venice because he didn't want him to meet Italian bears and pick up bad habits.
