I remember my grandpa always talking about when he was either stationed in Okiniwa or Long Binh Johnny came to sing at the NCO club. just afterwards he was outside smokin with his buddies and Johnny just came out there and lit up with them. Said he wasn't much to look at, but one of the nicest people he's ever met, really down to earth.
