  • Bob, Your biggest problem in not getting good range is you have your antenna inside your house. - This won't work! The walls of your house kill your signal.

    Try this.. Put your transmitter on a table so it is right next to your window pane, & run your antenna wire outside, (it's ok to close you window over the wire). Then on the outside, angle the antenna wire away from the house a little if possible... If you do this, I bet you will get a good signal for at least a couple blocks
