Hi hi.
I had the kiddo wave a stick with a red dot on the end. Then I took the footage into Motion, used the motion tracker to add a tracking point, and then tied a sparkle particle emitter to that tracking point. There was some hand tweaking that I needed to do, as the tracker is not perfect, but it worked pretty well for the short test. :)
