Sarah Omega, Kenya, lived for 12 years with fistula and had experienced so much stigma, humiliation, pain and loneliness. Yet, she never gave up hope. After having a successful surgery, she became an advocate to ensure that other women with fistula know that treatment is available. Ending the silence that surrounds fistula is crucial for improving lives and restoring dignity.
