Lots of fun for Hammond/synth/impro players and I can imagine myself spending some time on the bench, goofing around watching the skaters move with my tunes. Good fun stuff. R. Garthwaite
Corey plays at Roller Motion in Macungie on Thursday nights 7:30 to 10 also at Skateaway in Whitehall I believe 2nd Monday night and at Sportsman Hall in Maryland 3rd Sunday of the month. Check him out. He's is one good organist.
I used to skate at Hagys on Sunday nights so yes I remember when Green He was ok but I would much rather listen to Marty or Ralph Brown and I will post more vids
If your in Pennsylvania also check out Marty Dumic he plays at Olympic Skating center every Tuesday 7-10 pm he also plays for the eastern regions Dance Skate Competitions
Rinx was the best; not to mention the best colored vinyl on the 45s. Persian Market was great! I also liked CONGAROO. My favorites were heard at Beers' Roller Rink, Wysox, PA, and at Troy Skateland, Troy, PA. The Vanzile family operated a fantastic friendly rink, with the best wood floor around. The floor is gone now, replaced with a cheap modern compound. But my memories of the noisy fun, occasional ripped knees in my jeans, and the records will be with me always.
the music is awesome i just wish our local rink around here had someone as great as him to play !!!!!! the sad news tho is our rollerskating rink no longer has a hammond now they play this loud un bearable garb on cds todays kids call music "i call it garbage" but id rather have the awesome sounds like corey can play
Marylands.....unless you want to drive way into Pennsylvainia the skate to this wonderful young mans music, I suggest you go to Sportsmans this Sunday, the 16th. As a skater there, I'm, afraid lack of attendance may kill this great skating sesion.
